Jenna’s Inspiration and Dedication
Jenna’s passion for health care wasn’t born in medical schools or hospitals. It began at home, watching her father — a dedicated emergency room physician — transform lives daily.
Her own journey in health care began in the realm of pediatrics. She progressed through the ranks and attained the position of Director of Nursing at New Jersey’s esteemed P.G. Chambers School. Here, Jenna was more than just a nurse. She was a beacon of hope for children facing unique medical challenges, integrating a holistic care approach by collaborating with therapists and social workers.
This holistic vision channeled Jenna’s path toward becoming a Patient Advocate, especially for those battling rare diseases like mesothelioma.
Over a commendable eight-year period, she pioneered two nationwide advocacy programs, illuminating the path for patients diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases and rare brain tumors. She was pivotal in ensuring individuals had a voice and received patient-centered care. She improved access to care, timeliness to care, and outcomes for hundreds of individuals.
A Philosophy Carved From Experience
Jenna’s advocacy is built upon a foundational belief: Quality health care, delivered timely, is not a luxury—it’s a fundamental right.
She explains, “My foremost priority is ensuring patients grasp their diagnosis, empowering them to make informed health care decisions.”
Her dedication is not just rooted in her professional endeavors. Personal experiences with rare diseases have intimately acquainted Jenna with the complex web of emotions and decisions patients and their families grapple with. It’s this personal connection that fuels her commitment, making her not just an advocate but a friend to those she serves.
