Laura Wright is a journalist and content strategist with more than 15 years of professional experience. She attended college at the University of Florida, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2008. Her writing has been featured in The Gainesville Sun and other regional publications throughout Florida.
Before joining the team at Mesothelioma Hope, Laura spent several years in educational publishing as a writer and lead editor at Pearson Education and Full Sail University. Witnessing her friends and family members battle various forms of cancer inspired Laura to make a career shift to medical writing.

Laura lives in Orlando, Florida, with her husband and rescue dog. When she isn’t leading content strategy for Mesothelioma Hope, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
